I like GitX very much and also use it daily. However as I also manage patches for others, I often need to set the author to someone else than myself. It would be very handy to have a "author" textbox in GitX instead of going to the command line and use commit --author=xxx.
Maybe I'll find time to dig into GitX more and supply a patch myself - but for now it's a feature suggestion...
