The three new briefings present fundamental models that help explain the role of ICTs in socio-economic development: one on the role of information; one on context; one on supply and demand. In the run-up to the WSIS-Tunis, Development Informatics Group at the University of Manchester will be releasing a series of these Briefings: very short (one-two page) overviews of current evidence and thinking on key issues related to ICTs and socio-economic development.
