Panos London i-Witness update - WSIS Day 1 Day 1 reports
Panos made the news at WSIS on Wednesday when ICANN chief Paul Twomey chose a Panos briefing session to make his first public comments after the Summit's decision to set up a forum on internet governance. "There are no winners or losers," he said. Ansbert Ngurumo reports. http://www.panos.org.uk/iwitness/summit/report_icann.asp Segun Oruame was in the hall on 16 November, the opening day of WSIS, when President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe spouted fire, demanding an immediate end to what he called the US control of the internet. But less than half of users are native English speakers.
