Dear GKD Members:

I would like to respond to Angela Murray's inquiry seeking a couple of
different pieces of information: case studies and a "how to" kit. The
first piece we can help with immediately, and the second within six
months.

The easiest way to find E-Government case studies is to click on the
Development Gateway's E-Government Topic page
<http://www.developmentgateway.org/topic/?page_id=3647> and then scroll
down the middle of the page to click on to "Case Studies" under the
"Resource by Category" heading. You will find that currently there are
17 case studies on a variety of E-Government programs which I am sure
will be most helpful.

As for a "how to" kit on E-Government, one will be coming to the
Development Gateway within the next six months. With infoDev, a global
grantmaking organization, we have issued a Call for Proposals for just
such an E-Government Toolkit which will hopefully respond to the needs
Angela described. (See
<http://www.infodev.org/news/rfp/infoDev_e-government_v2.htm> for more
specific information on this call for proposals. Additionally, we would
appreciate it if GKD members circulated this announcement to any
potentially interested parties you may know of). I will keep you abreast
of any other "how to" resources I learn about.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Best wishes,

Amy DuRoss
