On behalf of the Global Knowledge Partnership <http://www.globalknowledge.org>, the International Institute for Sustainable Development is seeking applications for the position of GKP Youth Focal Point. The position is a 1-year junior professional position open to young people (under age 28) from Latin America and the Caribbean. The position will be based at the GKP Secretariat in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The GKP Youth Focal Point serves as a key member of the four-person Coordination Team for the Youth Creating Digital Opportunities (YCDO) Coalition <http://ycdo.net>. The YCDO Coalition is comprised of organizations committed to realizing the potential of young people as leaders in using information and communications technologies (ICTs) to achieve more sustainable development in their communities and around the world. The GKP Youth Focal Point will focus on building the capacity of young people leading ICT for development projects, connecting youth and mainstream donors and initiatives, and raising the visibility of youth projects. La posicion esta abierta para una o un joven menor de 28 anos de America latina y del Caribe. La persona trabajara en la oficina de la secretaria de GKP en Kuala Lumpur, Malasia. El punto focal de la juventud de GKP sirve como uno de los cuatro miembros del equipo de coordinacion de la Coalicion de la Juventud Creando Oportunidades Digitales (en ingles - Youth Creating Digital Opportunities o YCDO). La Coalicion de YCDO esta compuesta de organizaciones que estan trabajando para lograr el potencial de los jovenes como lideres al usar las tecnologias de informacion y de comunicaciones (TICs) para alcanzar un desarrollo mas sostenible en sus comunidades y alrededor del mundo. El punto focal de la juventud del GKP centrara su trabajo en la construccion de la capacidad de la gente joven que esta usando las TIC para el desarrollo, en la conexion de la juventud con los donantes y con otras iniciativas, ademas de ayudar a visibilizar los proyectos de la juventud.
