I'm no expert here but given that glade produces XML files and will not generate code in the future this becomes a libglade issue doesn't it? I mean, are there any changes in the glade XML file format planned for the next release? I have not looked at the spec in detail but will supporting gtk 2.6 require changes to the XML format or are they just enhancements, in which case we can extend the XML format to accept new XML elements? Cause if the XML DTD doesn't change, then one can always install one libglade for one version of GTK, and another libglade for another, without compromising compatibility at the glade XML level. Again, I haven't looked at the DTD in great detail yet.
