That's a great initiative, Andy! I live in Jena, where Carl Zeiss (the person) spent most of his life, and where optics plays a key role in daily activities, largely due to Carl Zeiss (the company) and the ecosystem of suppliers, users and research institutes that formed around it, as well as the people working for them (almost ten percent of the city's population).
