Kudos Barbara, I read the blog and totally agree with you regarding the fact that contents, after being free and available, need a further processing so as to make them reusable by various entry points (bloggers, bots, scientists, artists, etc).
You could focus on that aspect, the reusability of data. The Wikidata project stands out as a perfect paragon of this concept.
