Hello everyone,
We have our next LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group Call on Tuesday, November 17th at
9am PST / 12pm EST / 17:00 UTC / 6pm CET. Dan
Shick<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Dan_Shick_(WMDE)>, Technical Writer
at Wikimedia Deutschland, will give a short presentation on creating and
managing community documentation. As usual, there will be time for discussion
and Q&A. During any remaining time, Alex Jung (University of Toronto Libraries)
will provide a recap of Wiki markup, previously covered in greater depth during
a working hour in
August<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Linked_Data_for_Production/2020-08-07_Wikidata_Working_Hour>.
This presentation will be useful for participants looking to contribute to the
wiki documentation for Wikidata and Wikibase (software behind Wikidata) or who
want to get a better idea of how to manage documentation generally.

The call details are below. Everyone is welcome to attend the call. To receive
notifications about upcoming calls and meeting notes you can subscribe to the
ld4-wikidata Google
Group<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/ld4-wikidata>. If you aren't able
to attend, the meetings are recorded and meeting notes available on Google
Drive<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JwTulCABs0TkGQDVSnYbIYEb7bC-j4-n>.

The LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group is associated with the Linked Data for
Libraries LD4 Community and investigates how libraries can contribute to and
better integrate library metadata with Wikidata to improve access to library
resources on the web. The Affinity Group calls provide an informal space to
share information and learn more about Wikidata.
