Mac OS X started supporting 64-bit console application since Tiger. Since 
Leopard it supports 64-bit gui apps. Currently we are at the end of release 
cycle of Snow Leopard  with Leon coming soon. I'm sure most Mac users have 
64-bit capable OS.
