I've had my new glasses from Goggles4u for a few weeks now. They are my first pair of half-rim glasses and my first pair of photocromic lenses.
Frame: My first frame was out of stock, but Googles4u promptly emailed me for a 2nd choice and mailed me the correct frame. The arms are of slightly different lengths but that's a small imperfect. lenses+ frame: The lenses are held snugly in place in the half-rim frame by a filament. There is a small gap between the top of the lens and the frame, but the lens seems snug. Lenses: there is a slight sheen to the lens, but I think that is just normal coating. I got the mineral glass, and it's holding up well. I have a pretty strong prescription, so I love how slender the glass lenses are (I even got the thickest [cheapest] option). Prescription: The prescription is correct; it seemed a little "off" at first, but my eyes adjusted after a day... I think the pd was a little different then my old glasses (this could have been goggles4u, my measurements, or maybe my old glasses were wrong). As I said, I have a pretty strong prescription (near-sighted and astigmatism), but I can see wonderfully! Shipping and handling: Sooooo long! :) But they arrived in good condition and well packaged. They came with and extra set of nose pieces. For ~$30, this was TOTALLY worth it. I'm a long-time contact wearer who has decided to start wearing primarily glasses to save money and to take care of my eyes. I've already ordered another pair so I can change looks and will probably buy a tinted sunglass-pair.
