I have ordered three pairs of single vision glasses. The first pair I ordered was about $26 inclusive. I ordered them to have a temporary pair in between two cataract operations. The frame is solid with flexible hinges and I had the prescription checked by machine at Yale Eye Center and it was SPOT ON. My only problem-a minor one at that- was that the left silicone nose piece fell off within 24 hours and when I replaced it with the included free replacement pad, the pad was of a different size and shape.
After my second cataract operation, I ordered two more pairs one for distance vision and one for near vision. The C39 lenses are very thin and the frames are both very stylish. The only problem this time was that one of the frames arrived without the side pieces assembled(they are of an unusual design;they snap on) my wife and I were able to assemble the right side piece but not the left side piece. I took the frames to a Target Optical shop and the optician could not assemble the left side piece and was worried about breaking it. I then took the frame to a Walmart optician who had trouble assembling the piece and agreed to try harder when I agreed to hold him harmless if the piece broke. He was ultimately successful. Yes, it was a lot of bother but there was no charge and the frame assembled is actually very attractive and more European in design than American as was the second pair of glasses which were perfect but inexplicably did not come as did the others with extra silicone nose pieces. Despite these minor problems, I would probably order from the site again given the total cost, the responsive customer service (they immediately offered to replace the frame with the detached side piece if I sent them a digital photo(which I didn't follow up on), the included coatings and shipping. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://www.glassyeyes.com!
