Around last Thanksgiving, they had a shipment seized/delayed/lost by US
Customs. Or, at least that's what they told us. This was annoying, but
resolved, and everyone eventually got their glasses after approximately
twice their normal shipping time. Looking back, this was not completely
unreasonable...but it was definitely inconvenient and somewhat annoying.
Think of it as a black-eye for the company.

Unfortunately for Zenni, Chinese New Year spawned a second major shipping
delay, only 2 months later. People who ordered their glasses in January
didn't receive them until the beginning of March, in some cases. And, had
they just fessed up at the beginning about the delays, we wouldn't have been
so annoyed. Instead they first blamed it on another issue with Customs,
shipping delays, pairs not passing QC, etc. Eventually they just told the
truth, and admitted it was because of the holiday -- something which any
reasonable person on this list would have understood. This registered as
black-eye number 2, and cost them their preferred status.

>From the more recent posts, it appears that this double whammy is now over,
and people are once again getting their glasses in approximately 2 weeks, as
they had before. BUT, having not one, but TWO problems of this type in
rapid succession knocked them out of the preferred provider list.

As to what they're doing to eliminate this problem in the future...only
Zenni knows.
