Has anyone ever successfully asked one of the online retailers to change the height of the lens of a semi-rimless frame? Many time I find frames that I like, but the size of the lens deters me. I know 5 mm doesn't seem like a big deal, but I find that in rimless frames, 20mm works the best for me. I may be ignorant of all things eyeglass- production, but if they're grinding the lens, just seems like they could change the height if they wanted to since it's just a filament holding the lens in?
I had the same question about rounded vs. squared lens corner. I have similarly found several pairs that I like, but the rounded corners make me hesitant. Has anyone ever asked to have the corners squared off and received what they wanted?
