Well, I *finally* received a reply from Zenni's US office.
Figured I'd share it with you all.

---QUOTE---

Dear Mr. *****,

We at Zenni Optical pride ourselves in the speed with which we deliver
to our customers. Unfortunately, the shipment containing your order
has been delayed by a random Customs inspection which we expect to be
concluded shortly. You will then receive a subsequent email notifying
you of the tracking number for your order, which will be shipped via
US Postal.

We apologize for the delay this has caused and are working diligently
to resolve this issue promptly. We thank you for your patience and
appreciate your patronage.

Sincerely,

Zenni Optical Customer Service

---END QUOTE---

I plan to email Zenni once this current fiasco is over (and their
email volume has dropped to normal levels) and suggest to them that
they either switch to using Hong Kong Post exclusively, or at least
offer it as a shipping option for those of us who have been burnt
before.
I understand that this is something that is beyond their control, but
after having it happen twice in six months, they need to take a really
hard look at how they handle their shipping, but more importantly, how
they handle customer service for the volume of sales that they do.

Just to give everyone an idea of what that volume level is, the order
I placed on Mar.8th was #545610 and I placed another on Mar.24th which
was #567441. If Zenni uses sequential numbers on their orders (which
I'm almost positive they do), then that's 21,831 orders in 16 DAYS!!
That's approx. 41,000 orders a month!! Imagine if that's their average
per month. That's almost half a million orders a year.
And not all those orders are for just *one* pair of glasses. Sheesh,
that's alot of specs!! 8^)

Just 2 more cents...
I'd spend more, but I'm saving for all those tax *cuts* I'm gonna
get. :^/
