The issue is my -13.0 distance prescription. (There's a +2.5 add for
reading, and a minor astigmatism correction.)  The cheapie sites, like
Zenni, won't make bifocals or progressives in that prescription.  As I
noted in a post on options for the extremely nearsighted, Zenni will
let you price them out and put them in your cart, but you'll then get
an email saying that they can't make the glasses, and to pick either
single vision distance or single vision reading glasses.
