I hesitate to write a bad review. These guys must be operating on a
razor think profit margin, and they did respond to my emails. I
ordered a total of three pairs of reading glasses, two rimless and one
plastic.

The first pair, rimless, arrived well packed, but once I got all the
packing off, they looked like someone had either stepped on them or
gripped them very tightly while working on them because the nose
pieces were bent way off to the side, unwearable. So, I tried to bend
the nose pieces back to something reasonable, and I cracked the lens.
I immediately wrote to the company, saying that it was my fault, but I
was wondering if I should just order a new pair, or if I could order a
new frame (and pay for it). Before I heard back, I decided to just
order a new pair.

The second pair were plastic frames. They were ok, except that the
right ear piece was loose and the screw was tight. Wobbly. But they
didn't fall off. The prescription seemed not quite right, but I told
myself I was probably imagining it.

After a few weeks, the heavy plastic glasses began to get
uncomfortable, so I decided to give rimless another try. Once again,
these arrived looking like someone had smashed the nose pieces while
holding them. Completely unwearable. So, once again, I got out a
small pair of needle nose pliers and very gently tried to move the
nose pieces back onto place. The plastic part on the nose piece broke
off, and I wasn't even putting pressure on it (needle nose pliers
allowed me to grasp just the metal). So, I wrote to them and said
what happened. To their credit, they said they would send a new set
of nosepieces.

And the same day I wrote to Goggles4 U about the broken nose piece, I
decided to go ahead and order a new pair from 39 dollar glasses. The
39 dollar glasses pair arrived today, (I still haven't recieved the
nose pieces from Goggles4 U).and, in short, the quality of the frames
is far superior (lightweight, no wobbles) and the prescription seems
perfect. Now, admittledly, these (the 39 dollar pair) cost twice as
much. It ended up being $63.00 for single vision reading glasses. I
have astigmatism, and, as soon as I put on these new glasses, the "not
quite right" glasses from Goggles4 U became immediately obvious.

In sum, I think that I won't be returning to Goggles 4U. It's not
that the service was horrible. It's just that I think they are aiming
for the absolute lowest price on glasses on the internet, and that's a
tough place to compete.
