39dollarglasses and Eyebuydirect have both sent glasses to me in about
ten days, including two day shipping via USPS priority mail. They
were, however, simple prescriptions. I think that's pretty reasonable,
and so far all orders have been filled properly. Honestly, if you need
them pretty much "same day," you're going to have to go the
Lenscrafter route. Even our local optometrist takes the best part of
two weeks to get glasses made.

That said, neither of those places has as many choices in frames as I
would like to see. And it would be nice to see genuine "rush service"
provided by some of these online retailers.
