You might try putting picking a frame that you would normally wear and
put a dark tint on the lenses. A frame that takes a lens that is not
too large will look better as a -5,25 prescription gets thicker at the
edge as the lens gets bigger. The frame needs to fit your face and
look good but stay away from big stuff and wrap frames if you want to
have better success.

It also helps if your pupils are close to the center of the lens (from
left to right) when you look straight ahead. With a frame where your
pupil is off center by a lot, the edge that is farthest from your
pupil is going to be thicker as they try to keep the optical center of
the lens over your pupil.

It also sounds like you should make sure your pd measurement is
