I ordered three pairs of glasses from EyeBuy Direct and one from
Zenni. I am still very much in the learning phase of online ordering
as I haven't had great luck so far. The Zenni glasses have good
lenses but the frame (it was a memory plastic rimless) was
disappointing - the eye pad wires looked like paper clips - they were
aluminum colored and did not match the glasses) and one of the pads
fell off when I was on vacation. The EyeBuy Direct progressive lenses
shattered when I tried to adjust the earpieces (they were uneven).
What I had to do was take the Zenni lenses and put them on the EyeBuy
Direct frames - so I rigged up a pair of semi-workable glasses so I
was able to get through vacation and am getting by okay now. I also
ordered sunglasses from EyeBuy for distance and the frame I ordered is
too small for my face (that's my fault for not being more careful with
dimensions). The third pair from EyeBuy is for distance only and the
frame and lenses are both good but I am still without a good pair of
progressives. I need more practice at the business of online ordering
but I feel a bit discouraged at this point and I think I am going to
have to go to a local vendor to get some progressives. I was,
however, looking at the 39Dollar site last night and saw some nice
progressives ... I am tempted but wary.
