On the topic of A/R coatings: if you're having trouble with smeary glasses, or having to clean them all the time, leave the coating off. I found it to be much worse than any reflection problem! It attracted any sunscreen or moisturizer I wore - I had to keep bottles of cleaner and cloths anywhere I sat and in the car, and clean my glasses many times a day.
Which is another reason I'm glad to find out about online glasses purchasing, because Wal-Mart had made the A/R coatings standard on almost everything last time I ordered.
