This site is about eyeglasses and really has never professed to be anything more than that. It's the corner of the web that I found I could make a difference with. Online eyeglasses certainly aren't for everyone, but they are a viable option for those shackled by artificially high costs.
Are these sites better than the mall's chain-store options? Absolutely. They're small businesses. They're not padding the pockets or paying for yachts (take a peek at Leonardo Del Vecchio) for the owners. You certainly have that option to support your local business. I do that every day in many aspects of my life.
