Hi I ordered a set of glasses from $39glasses on 7/30 they arrived on 8/12, but it the cost was actually $182. I went with them because they were cheaper than my local optician and seemed to be using higher quality materials than Zenni.
The glasses look nice, but reading with them is much more difficult than my previous set of glasses. These are progressives, and I got a new prescription written up just before ordering these glasses. The distance viewing is great and even working at the computer seems to be better than my old pair. But reading a book is pretty hard because the area of focus is so small on these lenses. My new prescription is a little stronger than my previous one, maybe its something I will eventually get used to? I dunno right now I feel like I just spent a ton of money and maybe have got something that is actually more difficult to use than my previous glasses. How can I tell if a mistake was made somewhere? Well I know they made one mistake in that I requested a brown tint for the transitions (it says so right on the packing slip) but they are tinted gray. I kinda bummed, any suggestions? Everything else about the glasses is good. They look good, they're light, the lens coatings work well, the lenses are very thin, I love the fact that they get darker in sunlight and appear to be perfectly clear indoors.
