I really agree with the suggestion not to get progressive sunglasses. I've done so a couple of times, and always regretted it. Here's why:
1. A sufficiently deep tint for sunglasses makes reading very difficult anyway. I end up taking them off. 2. The lack of appropriate frames that you note. I've not been aboe to find an online source that can fulfill all of what I consider to be the requirements for good sunglasses: -- BIG frames. Sunglasses should protect your eyes no matter the angle of the sun. -- Polarized lenses with UV protection. It's just about cutting down the visible spectrum; glare and potential eye damage matter too. So while I have a couple of pair of ti tinted progressives from Zenni, I end up mostly wearing the single-vision polarized ones (fugly as they are) I got years ago from a B&M optician. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
