One of peeves is that not all online shops list the brand of lens they
use especially on their varifocals and photochromics lens without me
having to contact them to find out. I can understand that can be an
advantage for them in choosing the brand that offers them the best
financial benefits without being liable to their customers. I know
many customer don't really care, but more tech savy people would like
to know what we are paying for.

Here is what I found out so far for shops that don't list, please add
if you know the brand they use:

Googles4U: American Optical AO(Division of Carl Zeiss Vison CZV) for
their PALs and PALs/photochromics

GlobalEyeGlasses: Rodenstock for their PALs and PALs/photochromics

EyeBuyDirect ??? no answer from emailing them
Zenni Optical: ??? no answer from emailing them
