I had similar problems with them 30 years ago: I decided that I no longer needed one of the two phone lines that I had at an office. I wrote to them (on paper) to their registered office in London and just stopped paying the bills that continued to arrive. About a year later the threatened court action - so I just sent a copy of the letter. I don't have time to wade through their beurocrasy, so tell them, & let them soft themselves out.
