It is interesting how similar the priorities of the largest charitable
foundation in the world are when set against the findings of the
Copenhagen consensus, health and education take up 80% of the budget,
climate change isn't even mentioned.

Of course, it's impossible to meaningfully address climate change with
$60 billion Dollars. Replacing all fossil fuel fired generation with
nuclear power would cut emissions by 40%. Imposing hefty gasoline and
diesel taxes might cut them by 10-20%, giving an overall cut by half.

These are in my estimation the most cost effective ways to get
emissions down, but neither can be implemented by a foundation with $60
billion to spend.
