I installed glpi on a Windows 2000 server and the IMAP/POP authentication worked fine. The IMAP/POP server is a RHLinux server.

I tried to transfer my glpi server to the same IMAP/POP server. It worked fine and had successfully restored the database from the win2k server.

How do you do the transfer / backup / restore ?

After the transfer, the IMAP/POP external authentication doesn't seem to work. When I enabled the IMAP/POP external authen in RHLinux, it doesn't seemed to work. Users can still change their password. As far as I know, in my Win2k server, when the external authen is enabled, the option to change password is disabled. When I transfered the server to RHLinux, I enabled the external auth but still the change password is enable.

maybe the IMAP/POP are now wrong ?
Only IMAP/POP users could not change their passwords.

Julien

anyone knows how to solve this.

thanks.
