Hi:
This is probably another stupid beginner question, but here
goes. I'm running GLPI 0.68.2. GLPI is talking to an active directory
for authentication. If a user logs in using their AD username and
password things work fine. However, if I go to users, and add user from
external authentication source, I get a page where I can enter a login
name. However, the login name is never added. My presumption was this
page let you have GLPI query an external authentication source for user
records so they could be in the database before they logged in the first
time, is this correct? And if so what am I doing wrong?
On a similar note, out of curiosity, when GLPI is talking to AD
for authentication, does GLPI cash the password locally or does it
depend on the AD domain controler each time for authentication? My
basic question is is everyone's password who logs into GLPI just sitting
in the database or is it still secure on the DC?
Thanks.
Ryan
