Ok, the mantainer reply pointing me to:

and still he is seeking feedback and sponsors.
But i'm asking also if a ''generic field'' handling are planned on
GLPI, and if yes, in what release.
Really i (and also Ryan agree...) think that a generic field framework
is a missing feature in GLPI, so probably another way to handle this could
be that ''customfield'' will become a ''core plugin'' (or a feature) of
GLPI).
I think that Ryan can do some work, and i can, at least, do some
testing and QA.
Please, give us some feedback. Thanks.
