Hello,

Sorry I appear to be posting allot. Trying to get a few things working....

Has anyone got Samba's clustering, i.e. CTDB, to work with GlusterFS. I seem to have got it working myself but I am a bit nervous about going production with it because of the following reasons:

A: CTDB claims to need POSIX ACL but I thought GlusterFS has no support for POSIX ACLs at all!

B: Samba's ping_pong test works if I do it on just one GlusterFS client but if I run it on two simultaneously (like the Samba Wiki on ping_pong suggests you test), it appears to lock up the ping_pong program. Anyone got ping_pong test to work?

C: Lots of documents now say GlusterFS is reported to work with CTDB, such as the following this extract from "http://samba.org/~obnox/presentations/nluug-spring-2009/nluug-spring-2009-paper-obnox.pdf" ".

""  Other file systems that have been
reported to work with CTDB are the GNU Cluster File System GlusterFS ""

Thanks again poeple,

Regards,

John Simmonds
