Nope- absolutely no change in the underlying filesystem (ext3) or
configuration (just gluster version change). I've also reproduced this
on a single node IB gluster fileystem as well, both with tcp or ib-verbs
for the transport.

Were you using the same block size for 3.0? Have you changed the backend
filesystem type?
