Here is what I use in the fstab :
gluster.server.tld:/volume /mnt nfs defaults,_netdev,mountproto=tcp 0 0
Meanwhile, on Debian, the mount is sometime not done at boot and I
should use mount /mnt. I not sure that is related to GlusterFs
because I've sometimes the same issue with other NFS servers.
In an openVz container, the mount is done at each boot !

Don't know if "proto" is a synonym. But in my working auto.fs mounts

I've tried all sorts of variations for options in auto.srv, tried
adding MOUNT_NFS_DEFAULT_PROTOCOL=3 to auto.master (not sure if
that's where I
should be putting that), and even saw somewhere to add vers=3 to the
right of
the auto.master direct mount .
I'm using cluster 3.2.5 and Ubuntu Precise.
