Request for improvement: Simply add "Inbox" in the "Label As" pull down menu, allowing check and uncheck, would solve this intuition problem. Really using "Archive" is counter-intuitive (or less intuitive) and unnecessarily clumsy. I believe made "Inbox" a special case is against the original gmail design intent.
