Another thing worth noting, is that the Gmail commands "is:", "in:", and "label:" are roughly equivalent to one another. You can look for messages in one of your user labels by using any of these words. Likewise, you can substitute the word "label:" in the other Gmail search terms that normally take "is:" or "in:". (I don't know if this always works, but so far it has.) It works for the shortcut/abbreviations too. "L:" is an abbreviation for "label:" but also works for "is:" or "in:".
