Thanks for your reply. That was the answer - a filter, probably set up a couple of years ago, which deleted mails from her AOL address. I don't remember setting up such a filter, and I can't imagine why I would do that - but the filter was there. After I deleted the filter, she was able to send an email from her AOL address which correctly went into my InBox.
Now I guess I should wonder why this "straight to Trash" phenomenon has only been happening in the past 2-3 weeks. One of life's great unsolvable mysteries, I guess.
