But is there an option to delete an item prematurely (due to a change of
mind)?  I asked about "forever" because the other save options would
automatically delete the item... eventually.

My bad...  I think the only thing you can do beyond describing the problem
is to debug the application.  However, this costs money on Windows and is
kind of geeky; from what I've read, I don't think you're familiar with
programming.  Anyway, it's explained here:

I think all I can do (until I see the bug, and I'm on Linux) is look for a
cleanup/refresh routine in the startup (or shutdown) code.  And for that I
need to ask John some questions, now that his holiday is probably over.

By the way - how do you give yourself a sig at google groups? I've had

It's a Gmail sig; I don't normally visit the group's site.
