hi: A) I do not know of a way of removing the top label in a hierarchy in batch mode. 1) If you try and rename it you wind up with the same problem just with a different top label [unless there is a 'root' label I am unaware of - using blank or : does not work] 2) If you delete the top level, ALL the tags beneath it also get deleted and you wind up with unlabeled bookmarks
... however at the 2nd level of the hierarchy a lot can be done ... B) 1) If you have not already done so, under Options/General change the default "Nested Labels Separator" from > to : 2) Open up GMarks in the firefox sidebar, expand e.g Tags and right- click on VistaTweaks 3) From the right-click menu choose 'rename' and highlight and delete 'Tags:' from 'Tags:VistaTweaks' 4) You now have VistaTweaks and ANYTHING BELOW IT move one level up 5) e.g If you had a label/hierarchy "Tags:VistaTweaks:Graphics" and did the above you would wind up with the desired "VistaTweaks:Graphics" I hope this helps a little, cheers ichmoimeyo On Dec 10 2008, 9:41 pm, GMarks_NEWB <[email protected]> wrote: > how do you BATCH RENAME the following case of Bookmarking label issue > using the filter feature?
