John I think you should have a FAQ link on your gmarks add-on page.
On that page you could include this info about how to undelete bookmarks. I don't know if it's common knowledge - I just found out about it a few minutes ago. To undelete your bookmarks If you're logged into bookmarks go to http://www.google.com/notebook/bookmarks Click on "Trash".
