yes, but then, at best, I can only encode single vob files.  This is
fine if the vob file includes the entire film.  Most likely, this isn't
the case.  Also, it doesn't appear as if gmerlin_transcoder recognizes
the vob format so well.  I can load vob's okay, but they register as
0:00 length.

I was hoping there'd be a way to do something like mencoder does.

mencoder -dvd-device /path/to/iso  dvd://1-4  -o out.avi


I couldn't find a way to tell gmerlin_transcoder to open another dvd
device other than the one it recognized.  If I mount the .iso to /mnt,
is there a way to trick or tell gmerlin_transcoder to look for dvd's
there?
