It used to be the case that the Apple clang was at least one year or so older 
than the real clang, but they successively hid away all the variables that 
allowed one to tell.

The one I tried was the latest official clang. So it could be that it is a 
coincidence that Apple clang passed, or perhaps they took down it down from the 
repository so it would be later, but that seems unlikely because they want to 
have very stable versions.
