My svn version was from june this year, and the nodes didn't fit even when
starting from a geo file. Now, after downloading the latest svn version, they
do. So it was a bug which is fixed.

Thank you!

Matthias

Betreff: Re: [Gmsh] "Refine by splitting" does not fit to geometry

When starting from a geo file, the nodes fit the geometry when doing refinement
by splitting.
When starting form a msh file, it is not always the case, as not all the
information is available.

My version of Gmsh, 2.5.1, svn built today does in both cases a refining with
meshing order 2 (curvilinear on), what was not the case some months ago....

Ruth

Hi,

I have noticed the following behaviour: When I mesh a geometry and do a "Refine
by splitting", the new nodes do not fit exactly to the geometry. For (curved)
lines, they do not lie on the line, whereas the nodes produced by the first
mesh run do. Bug or feature?
