I got a version working (well you can see the animation, still slow and now sound) in safari http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_likosVo1M.
Unfortunately there is already a semi propitiatory solution. One of the easiest solutions however is given by Frash. Basically it wraps the Android flash plugin... Works pretty well, but doesn't play the daily show, so I may still have to forge ahead. Ash
