Sigh, here we go again. I am the author of the EI code, and the last
time I worked on it months ago, there were zero problems. Other people
have change the EI code quite a bit, so it's not like there is only one
author. Please don't point fingers, it's better to work towards solutions,

I don't believe so, as all of these are inter-related.

I did go through the bug tracker, but depend more on testing than bug
reports. This is why there is a group of us, as any one person can miss
things.
