That can be "fixed" by using ffmpeg (or a similar library) to decode it -- since the ffmpeg API is the same for any codec, it's the user's "fault" if he enabled mp3 support in ffmpeg, given ffmpeg was, of course, invoked only to decode Ogg/Vorbis and raw audio.
