The plugin is here:
    ‎/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libgnashplugin.so
Isn't this correct?
I installed manually my versions of Firefox in directories such as
/usr/local/firefoxes/firefox-3.0.6-en_GB
or
/usr/local/firefoxes/firefox-3.0.6-mn
so I guess I need to create symbolic links.
Isn't there any graphical means to tell Firefox where to pick plugins?

That sounds like a packaging bug, because Firefox isn't picking up on
the plugin. It's probably best to report the problem to your distro
packager. In the mean time, you can make sure that libgnashplugin.so
exists in the right location, which usually means either
.mozilla/plugins or /usr/lib/firefox/plugins. You might take the
opportunity to upgrade to a more recent version of Gnash, too...

I've installed Firefox 3 manually on my Mandriva Linux 2008 official version, KDE 3.5.7. Firefox keeps proposing to download Adobe FlashPlayer, I refuse, but I can't see any alternative. Mandriva Software management (Rpmdrake 2008) says that gnash-firefox-plugin 0.8.1-1mdv2008.0 for architecture i586 is installed. My system is x86_64 but I can't see any x86_64 version to install in rpmdrake.

How to force Firefox to use Gnash instead of Adobe FlashPlayer?
