Debian fixed the issue with grub-install by cherry-picking a patch from upstream: http://anonscm.debian.org/loggerhead/pkg-grub/trunk/grub/revision/2347 But as posted to this list: "Support for using GRUB as firmware on Yeeloong was added in GRUB 1.99, and for 2.00 this support has been extended to Fuloong2F as well." and from what I can tell the --directory issue was fixed/correct for the release version GRUB 1.99 (http://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/r/grub/trunk/grub revision 3194). > and is caused by a bug described in > http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=620420 > > So, after rebooting the Yeeloong, the grub screen displays as expected. Glad http://wiki.debian.org/DebianYeeloong/HowTo/Install helped.
