Firefox has some trademark problems. The software is free software, but to distribute modified versions of it you have remove the trademarked "firefox" name and logos. AFAIK, Skype and Second Life are not free software. If you can download them for no cost, they are freeware. If every recipient could examine and modify the source code and distribute modified versions, they would be free software.
