Just as clarification, popularity-contest isn't unfree, and doesn't send
any info by default.  The issues are that it probably shouldn't be setup
for ubuntu.com, and gnewsense.org has no purpose for it.

Is it installed by default?

I can live with it pointing to Ubuntu if it does nothing.
