As Marco began to work with the 2.6.24-12.22 version of the Linux
kernel, I officially announce we have to use it from now on. Moreover,
don't forget to fill the table at
http://wiki.gnewsense.org/Kernel/Ubuntu-hardy-linux-2-6-24-12-22--drivers
as your KFV work is progressing, so that we'll have statistics this
sunday !
For the copyright notice, I don't know how to replace the existing
scripts (KPVF_info.pl, KFV_SummaryTable.pl and TableFormat.sh) with
their modified-copyright holder version without changing the name,
using Pmwiki, any suggestion?

Thanks for your reply Marco,
Is this a green light to start working on the KFV (with the kernel
2.6.24_12.22)?
If it is, that's great news and let's start working on it! :D
I've just updated the
http://wiki.gnewsense.org/Kernel/DocumentingYourWork to have a clear
step-by-step procedure for the KFV checkers. If you find errors, don't
hesitate to edit the page. I also updated the
http://wiki.gnewsense.org/Kernel/Image page to make it clear we now
must use the 2.6.24-12.22 version of the linux kernel until the KFV is
completed, only after completion could we check the latest version.
Moreover, I want to point out that the LINUX_FOLDER_NAME variable of
the TableFormat.sh script should be "linux-2.6.24_12.22" for every
checker for consistency in the urls names and for future KFV work
(after this version of the kernel is completed), so checkers should
have to do a:
ln -s ubuntu-hardy linux-2.6.24_12.22
and then run the script in the "linux-2.6.24_12.22" subfolder they're
working in. I also found some KFV urls without the "-12-22" part,
those I've found have been moved to the same url with "-12-22" added.
Don't forget the url formatting should be as in
"http://wiki.gnewsense.org/Kernel/Ubuntu-hardy-linux-2-6-24-12-22--drivers".
I wish I have time this weekend to check what psychoslave has
translated in french from the www site, we should then have a french
version of the gNS website, along with english, spanish and italian
versions.

Hi Chris,
The problem is that I need to know Marco's opinion on which
kernel-version to check : if it's the 2.6.24-8.13, then we've almost
done 5.4% of the KFV, if it's the 2.6.24-12.22 (last version), then
we've got to recheck all from the start (0%). So I've sent a mail to
Marco to know what we have to do as KFV is paused until his opinion is
known.
hi!
Like others, i think use the last kernel's version is better.
Now, i'm re-checking my sections using the kernel 2.6.24-12.22
marco
Thanks guys for all the work done :)
